ROSA MYSTICA
The Rosa Mystica health mission takes place every year for one week. It was founded in 2007 by Doctor Jean-Pierre Dickès, then president of ACIM. As he often reminded us, the purpose of this mission was to heal the body but also the soul.
Volunteers from all over the world gather in the Philippines: France, Switzerland, Belgium, United States, Germany, Poland, Moldavia, Korea, Singapore, Philippines...
Doctors, nurses, nurses' aides, pharmacists, midwives, opticians, dentists, operating room technicians...and other non-medical professions.

The mission takes place every year for a period of one week.
In 2021 and 2022, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we were forced to cancel the mission.
During one week, medical care is provided in a fixed location (gym, hall) or on a mobile basis.
The patient fills out a form and is sorted according to his or her complaints. After having passed the stage of vital parameters and other controls and having waited sometimes several hours, he can be seen by the required specialist.
General practitioners, pediatricians, ENT: basic consultations. Tuberculosis is regularly diagnosed.
Minor surgery: cysts, lipomas, wounds...
Dentist: task often filled by the army or a local dentist. The treatment is limited to pulling teeth.
Optician: our eye specialist, equipped with the latest equipment, takes with her hundreds of glasses that are no longer used in France.
Following the consultations, nurses can perform some treatments: electrocardiogram, aerosols, bandages, urine analysis.
With their prescriptions, the patients go to the pharmacy and return home happy!
The care of souls is not put aside and the waiting is sometimes long, so priests and nuns are at the disposal of the patients. Catholics but often not seeing any priest, Filipinos are happy and eager to learn.
The missions are supervised by the Philippine army which ensures the protection of the volunteers and helps with the transport of the material and the movements.
On site and throughout the year, Filipinos ensure the follow-up of the patients and the organization of the missions. Yolly E. Gamutan and Elaine Salazar are the pillars of the project.
